Wearable products

So after researching a bit i thought the outcomes i was coming up with would all look good as wearable products. I also came to this conclusion because i feel that in a university setting students don’t read posters or leaflets so something different needs done.

After more research i asked myself would a t-shirt work? The answer i came up with was no. They would cost too much to print and distribute for free and students wouldn’t want to pay for them. Plus everyones body is different so they probably wouldn’t look flattering and therefore wouldn’t be worn and then everyones style is different as well so people may not like it.

So then i thought “What would benefit students??” .. Reusable bags! With the current bag levy broke students don’t want to have to pay for bags every time they go for their weekly shop, so i feel a small reusable bag such as a tote bag or small fold up bag would be perfect. The bag could also be used for carrying books etc. around university, therefore other students would see the bags. They could be given out at the freshers fair or other events on campus and also available at the student shop on campus.

I like the idea of the tiny bags, they could be given out with sweets or usbs in them but i can’t think of a reason for students to reuse them.

Another possible idea is tea towels, which could again be given out at freshers or delivered around student housing.

I love the simple packaging of the above image. I think for my final product i want to create nice packaging with some further advice and contact information on it.
